SCREEN RESOLUTION
Although convenienceshop.co.im will look it's best at a high screen resolution this is not necessary and the site has been designed to display full width at a screen resolution of 1024x768.
CSS STYLES
As with all standards compliant websites, we use CSS stylesheets to make this webite look pretty. Whilst most modern browsers and many phone browsers utilise css, the information presented to you will not be restricted or limited if you do not use stylesheets, it just won't look as pretty.
TEXT SIZE
The text size has been set to allow users to increase or decrease it to suit personal preference. If the text size is too small/large there are a number of ways to amend this in all modern standards compliant browsers:
WINDOWS
Internet Explorer 7
For the first time in Internet Explorer a zoom feature is included which allows you to enlarge the whole browser window.
to do this press ' Ctrl ' + ' + ' to increase the zoom and ' Ctrl ' + ' - ' to decrease the zoom.
You can also change the text size. The way to do this does depend on how the site has been built.
For many sites you only need to do the following:
- Open the ' Page ' menu with the mouse or by pressing ' Alt'+'P ' .
- Select the ' Text Size ' option with the mouse or by pressing ' X '.
- Choose your preferred text size by clicking on it or by using the up and down arrow keys to select it and then press ' Enter ' .
Firefox 2
- Open the ' View ' menu with the mouse or by press ' Alt ' and ' V ' at the same time.
- Select the ' Text Size ' option with the mouse or by pressing 'Z' .
- Increase or decrease the text size with the mouse or by using the up and down arrow keys and pressing ' Enter '.
- Alternatively you can press ' Ctrl ' and ' + ' to increase the text size, ' Ctrl ' and ' - ' to decrease the text size. ' Ctrl ' and ' 0 ' returns you to the default 'normal' size.
Follow these steps to set a minimum text size for all pages you visit:
- Open the ' Tools ' menu with the mouse or press ' Alt ' + ' T ' .
- Click on ' Options', or press ' O ' , to open the Options dialog box.
- Click the ' Content ' tab or use the arrow keys until it is highlighted (in blue).
- In the Fonts & Colours box click on ' Advanced ' , or press ' Alt ' + 'D ' , to open the ' Fonts ' dialog box.
- Click on ' Minimum font size ' box or press 'Alt '+ 'O ' . Use the up and down arrows to select a new font size and press ' Enter'.
- Click ' OK ' button or press ' Enter ' .
- Click ' OK ' button or tab to ' OK ' button and press ' Enter ' .
Note: If this does not work it could be because your computer settings cannot be changed due to local IT policies - contact your local IT support for further help.
Opera 9
Opera can increase the size of images as well as text.
You can quickly increase or decrease the size of both text and graphics using the Keyboard.
Press ' + ' (in some versions you might need to press the ' Shift ' key as well) to increase size and the ' - ' to decrease text size. Each press will increase or decrease the size by 10%. Alternatively press 'Alt ' + ' V ' to bring up the view menu and then press ' Z ' to bring up the zoom options then use the up and down arrow keys to select the option you want followed by 'Enter' .
However the changes will not be remembered next time you open Opera.
To permanently increase or decrease the size of the text follow these steps:
- Click on the ' Tools ' menu with the mouse and then click on ' Preferences ' or press ' Ctrl '+ ' F12 ' .
- Click on the ' Web pages ' tab with the mouse or press ' Ctrl ' + ' Tab ' to cycle through the tabs until ' Web pages ' is selected.
- Click on the ' Page Zoom ' option box and select your zoom size or press the ' Tab ' key twice to select the page zoom option box and use the up and down arrow keys to select your zoom size.
- Click the ' OK ' button or press ' Enter ' to return to Opera.
Mac
Firefox 9
Note: Mac key convention: ' Ctrl ' is used for 'Control', ' Apple ' is used for 'Command' and ' Alt ' is used for the 'Option' key .
Note: For keyboard access make sure ' Full keyboard access ' is turned on - you can turn it on or off; by pressing ' Ctrl ' + ' F1 ' at any time.
Instructions
Follow these steps to increase or decrease the size of the text for the web page you are viewing:
- Click on the ' View ' menu with the mouse.
- Hover your mouse over ' Text Size ' and choose a different text size from the listed options.
Or to use keyboard shortcuts:
- Press ' Apple ' and ' + ' (plus) to increase the text size and ' Apple ' and ' - ' (minus ) to decrease the text size.
Take the following steps to set a larger text size for all the pages you visit:
- Click the ' Firefox ' menu with the mouse or press ' Ctrl ' + ' F2 ' to highlight the menu bar and then press the right arrow to highlight the ' Firefox ' menu .
- Click on ' Preferences' or press the down arrow to highlight ' Preferences ' and then press ' Enter '.
- Make sure the ' Content ' tab is selected if not click on it (or use the left / right arrow keys to select it).
- Under ' Fonts and Colors ' click on ' Advanced ' or use the ' Tab ' key to highlight it and press the ' Spacebar ' to select.
- Click an the 'Size' drop down menu next to ' Proportional ' and select the font size you want - ' Tab ' to ' Size' and use the up/down arrow keys and the ' Enter ' key to select.
- Click the checkbox ' Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above ' to deselect it (turn it off) or ' Tab ' to the checkbox and press the ' Spacebar ' to deselect it
- Click ' OK ' button or press ' Enter '
- Press ' Apple ' + ' W ' to return to Firefox.
Opera 8 / 9
In Opera can increase the size of images as well as text.
You can quickly increase or decrease the size of both text and graphics using the numberpad ' + ' (or ' 0 ' ) and ' - ' (or ' 9 ' ) keys. Each press will increase or decrease the size by 10%. However these changes will not be remembered next time you open Opera.
Follow these steps to increase or decrease the size of the text permanently:
- Click on the ' Opera ' menu and then click on ' Preferences... '- press ' Apple ' +',' (comma).
- Click on the ' Web pages ' tab or press ' Alt ' + ' Tab ' until the ' Web pages ' tab is selected .
- Click on the ' Page Zoom ' option box and select your zoom size or press the ' Tab ' key twice to select the page zoom option box and use the up and down arrow keys to select your zoom size.
- Select the ' OK ' button with the mouse or press ' Enter ' to return to Opera.
